Broadcast Manager

Central DVB-T/H network monitoring

DESCRIPTION

UDcast’s Broadcast Manager M&A (Monitoring & Analysis) is the ultimate network control solution for the comprehensive remote monitoring of Mobile TV and all other broadcast networks. No matter how large the network, the Broadcast Manager M&A allows you to centrally monitor the state of the network in its entirety.

UDcast - Central DVB-H/T network monitoring

Based on a distributed architecture, Broadcast Manager M&A communicates with multiple distant monitoring probes spread throughout the network. In the event of a problem, the operator is quickly notified, and the diagnostic functions of the Broadcast Manager M&A enable the fault to by rapidly isolated and corrected.

The user-friendly web interface permits users to view the most complex DVB-T/H or multi-standards networks in a very intuitive manner. Operators can manage alarms, measurements and data from distant GOLDENEAGLE DVB-T/H Analyzers, as well as from other monitoring, analyzing and network control equipment. Interoperability with third-party vendors' products is ensured by SNMP, the industry standard that provides a common protocol for monitoring of network devices and applications.

Broadcast Manager M&A can automatically notify the operator as soon as any of the monitored equipment generates an alarm. The warnings can be shown on screen, logged into a database or sent via email or SMS to pre-defined destinations.

The diagnostic features provide in-depth analysis of the DVB-T and DVB-H H network and service, including the physical RF, MPEG-2 Transport Stream, DVB-T and DVB-H protocol layers. One of the greatest assets of this solution is its ability to answer the needs of both small networks, with only a few Mobile TV transmission sites, and large ones, with hundreds or thousands of transmitters.

The success of Mobile TV services will be judged by whether or not they can generate sufficient additional revenue for the mobile operator. This in turn will strongly depend on the capacity of broadcasters and mobile operators to deliver high-quality services and to ensure the continuity of these services over time. Networks that take advantage of UDcast's Broadcast Monitoring M&A solution will ensure greater customer satisfaction and reduce both Capital and Operating Expenses (CAPEX and OPEX), providing a high Return on Investment (ROI).
