RED HERRING 100 EUROPE AWARD FOR UDCAST

Red Herring has selected UDcast as a recipient of Red Herring 100 Europe 2007, an award given to the private technology companies based in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region each year.

The Award Recognizes the 100 "Most Promising" Companies Driving the Future of Technology. Companies like Google, eBay and Skype were spotted in their early days by Red Herring editors, and touted as leaders that would change the way we live and work. Red Herring's editorial staff rigorously evaluated more than 700 private companies through a careful analysis of financial data and subjective criteria, including quality of management, execution of strategy, and dedication to research and development.

WHITE PAPER - STATISTICAL MULTIPLEXING

Download white paper

The consumer studies on the usage of Mobile TV, show that a large choice of TV channels is required for the commercial success of this service. The Statistical Mulplexing enables an increase of up to 40 per cent in the number of TV channels broadcasted over the air. The open architecture, proposed and published by UDcast enables all DVB-H solutions providers and operators to implement statistical multiplexing in the most efficient way. The solution is fully compliant with the current DVB-H standard, and takes into account the all keys system components as IP encapsulators, video encoders, terminals as well as the service requirements for national and local content. The open standard DVB-H statistical multiplexing is commercially available and undergoes trials in Italy, USA, France and Finland.
